Space Empires 3 is a space strategy game from Malfador Machinations. You command an empire of several planets, and colonize planets, build ships and units, research new technologies, and sustain diplomatic relations with other empires.
My Review
SE3 is one of my favorite strategy games. The interface is complex and could use some refining, but it does what you want it to do. This game has no sound. The graphics are simple and unassuming, not adding to the game, but not removing from it either. I give SE3 a 90/100.

SE3's great strength is customization. Techs, galaxy size and complexity, costs, AI empires and more are customizable in options. The technologies, ship pictures, components, costs are edited with a special editor! (found at www.malfador.com) About 1/4 of the game can be changed!
